Job Summary

This entry-level management position focuses on supporting the day-to-day activities of Rooms Operations, encompassing Housekeeping, Recreation, Laundry, Staff, AYS, and Concierge/Guest Services. The successful candidate will assist in working with employees to carry out guest arrival and departure procedures, maintaining the property's cleanliness standards, and ensuring guest and employee satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the management of Rooms Operations activities, including opening and closing Front Desk shifts, reviewing critical information, and operating department equipment.
  • Understand the functions of various operations, including Recreation, Laundry, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, AYS, Front Desk, and Concierge/Guest Services.
  • Ensure employees have the necessary supplies and uniforms, and understand night audit procedures.
  • Communicate performance expectations to employees, handle employee questions and concerns, and effectively schedule employees to meet business demands.
  • Contribute to managing departmental controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
  • Provide exceptional guest service, assist in investigating employee and guest accidents, and interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED, with 3 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or a related field.
  • Or, a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major, with 1 year of experience in the same field.
