Residential Maintenance Specialist

The Maintenance Technician is a critical member of our team, responsible for ensuring the overall physical condition of our communities and providing exceptional service to our residents.
As a Maintenance Technician, you will diagnose maintenance issues, make necessary repairs, and ensure all resident service requests and community maintenance are completed in a timely manner.
You will also be responsible for supervising general maintenance engineers and technicians, controlling inventory of parts and equipment, and coordinating all maintenance-related activities.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong customer service background, advanced knowledge in at least one of the following disciplines: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and the ability to diagnose problems and implement repairs.
We offer a competitive pay rate of $27.00 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental insurance, 401K plan with employer matching, and robust PTO.

Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair maintenance issues
- Supervise general maintenance engineers and technicians
- Control inventory of parts and equipment
- Coordinate all maintenance-related activities
- Ensure timely completion of resident service requests and community maintenance
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 7 years of maintenance experience with no certifications
- or 4 years' experience with EPA 608 Universal required
- Approved designations or degree/license/certification(s) in at least one of the following: HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Appliance Repair Certification, or Carpentry
- Demonstrated strong customer service skills
- Advanced knowledge in at least one of the following disciplines: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry
- Ability to diagnose problems and implement repairs
- Ability to perform Quality Control on work and repairs completed
- Demonstrated ability to train on skill trades
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to provide guidance and training to less senior technicians
Working Conditions:
The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with frequent interactions with residents, maintenance staff, and community staff.
The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions.
Pay Rate: $27.00 per hour
