We are seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Teaching Specialist or Lecturer in the Department of Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development. This is a temporary, non-tenured Academic Professional and Administrative (P&A) position, paid on a per course basis.
The successful candidate will teach a course per semester at the undergraduate or graduate level, with topics including Comparative and International Development Education, Education Policy and Leadership, Evaluation Studies, Higher Education, or Human Resource Development. Responsibilities will also include preparing course materials, grading student work, and submitting grades.
Student advising will also be a key component of this role, with opportunities to respond to student inquiries and evaluate student performance.
QualificationsTo be considered for this position, applicants must have a Master's degree relevant to the teaching assignment for appointment as Teaching Specialist, or a Doctorate or terminal degree relevant to the teaching assignment for appointment as Lecturer. Previous teaching experience is also required.
Preferred qualifications include a strong record of teaching in a university setting and a strong understanding of curriculum concepts and processes.
