Fire Sprinkler Service Technician Job Description

About the Role:

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Service Technician to join our team. As a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance on sprinkler fire suppression systems
  • Service and inspect wet, dry, and pre-action fire suppression systems
  • Install, maintain, repair, or replace fire sprinkler equipment and systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards
  • Service wet-based fire sprinkler systems
  • Interact with customers in a professional manner
  • Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues and reporting results of work completed in a timely manner
  • Protect and maintain company equipment
  • Work in a safe manner as outlined by company safety procedures, including driver safety and personal protective equipment
  • Respond to emergency service calls

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience with fire sprinkler systems preferred
  • Experience with commercial and residential systems
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Clean driving record and reliable transportation to/from the office or job site
  • Flexibility with scheduling requirements that may include evening, weekend, and/or out-of-town assignments
