Fire Sprinkler Designer Job Description

At Impact Fire Services, we are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our team. As a Fire Sprinkler Designer, you will play a critical role in designing and developing fire protection sprinkler systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design fire protection sprinkler systems using CAD equipment and software.
  • Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for fire sprinkler systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design staff to ensure accurate and efficient design.
  • Confer with clients to understand their fire protection needs and develop solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA 13 and related codes.
Requirements:
  • NICET level II or higher, Fire Protection Industry licensing or equivalent.
  • Experience in the fire protection design field required.
  • Solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with design and fire sprinkler terminology.
  • Ability to read blueprints for fire sprinkler layout.
  • Ability to make technical presentations internally and to clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Applicable experience either in the fire protection industry or the commercial customer service business in some capacity.
  • An ability to provide services across multiple product lines.
  • Working habits and personal appearance which are both neat and well organized.
