About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Sprinkler System Technician to join our team at Pye-Barker Fire & Safety. As a Fire Sprinkler System Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems in commercial and residential buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance on fire sprinkler systems to ensure they are functioning properly and meet industry standards.
  • Service and inspect wet, dry, and pre-action fire suppression systems to identify any issues or deficiencies.
  • Install, maintain, repair, or replace fire sprinkler equipment and systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Service wet-based fire sprinkler systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner to provide excellent customer service.
  • Install or upgrade fire sprinklers in commercial and residential buildings to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Test and repair alarm systems already in place to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Perform inspections to ensure alarms are installed according to code and industry standards.
  • Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues and reporting results of work completed in a timely manner.
  • Protect and maintain company equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Respond to emergency service calls to provide prompt and effective service.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience with fire sprinkler systems.
  • A clean driving record.
  • Flexibility with scheduling requirements that may include evening, weekend, and out-of-town assignments.

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects.
  • The work also requires the following physical abilities in order to perform the essential job functions: balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity.
