Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Registered Nurse, you will be accountable for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with departmental requirements and state and specialty standards.

Working collaboratively with medical providers and the care team, you will deliver personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, adhering to established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also serve as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the patient's condition upon admission and during each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Carry out procedures, monitoring, or other functions as directed by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care in the patient's medical record.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic responses, and take appropriate actions in case of adverse reactions.
  • Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating needs, and resolving issues.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by simplifying complex medical terminology.

Qualifications:
Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license is required.
Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS Provider certification is required.
ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred.
Associates Degree or BSN is required, with a BSN needed within 24 months of hire into the RN position.
A minimum of one year of experience in an acute care hospital within the last three years is required.

Experience in Hematopoietic Progenitor Cells (HPC) is preferred.
