Job Summary:

CARTI seeks a skilled Nurse Infusion Specialist to provide on-site patient care and infusion services. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of clinical experience in direct patient care and expertise in IV therapy skills and injections.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating care with physicians, other staff members, and ancillary services, as well as providing patient teaching and counseling. They will also facilitate communication to resolve patient issues and concerns, review problems with the physician team, and take appropriate action.

The Nurse Infusion Specialist will maintain accurate patient charts/records and document nursing actions and functions. They will also verify all doses of intravenous admixtures prepared by technicians.

This is a safety-sensitive position that requires the ability to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides on-site patient care and infusion services
  • Coordinates care with physicians and other staff members
  • Provides patient teaching and counseling
  • Facilitates communication to resolve patient issues and concerns
  • Maintains accurate patient charts/records
  • Verifies all doses of intravenous admixtures

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Valid and current Arkansas state nursing license
  • BLS Certification
  • Chemo Certification within six months of hiring
  • Ongoing education toward ONS certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of clinical experience in direct patient care
  • Expertise in IV therapy skills and injections

Work Environment:

This position involves potential exposure to infectious diseases. Colleagues are offered appropriate vaccinations and safety training.
