Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Processing Lead to join our team at Daybreak Foods. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the break room, ensuring that all processes are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the operation of the break room, including the management of liquid product flows, sanitation procedures, and documentation.
  • Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and sanitized, and that all processes are running within established parameters.
  • Work closely with the transfer room team to ensure that egg products are processed and stored efficiently.
  • Perform tanker CIPs, pipeline set-ups, and other tasks as required to maintain production levels.
  • Collaborate with department leads and USDA/FSIS inspectors to ensure compliance with all regulations and standards.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Monitor and adjust processes as needed to meet customer specifications.
  • Delegate duties to line workers and provide coaching and feedback as necessary.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in a food plant highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new processes and equipment.
  • Basic math skills and ability to load trucks for efficient dispatch of product.
Work Environment

The break room is a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, water, and chemicals. Temperature is regulated, but cooler temperatures may occur in specific areas. Moderate noise levels are typical, and proper personal protective equipment is required during certain working conditions.

Employees are required to comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) due to working in a food manufacturing environment.
