Job Summary

This role is responsible for managing product samples, their distribution to the Bragg Team for evaluation, and shipping to third-party laboratories. The position involves hands-on activities such as routine product tastings, packaging, and shipping samples, as well as unloading products into the office space on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare samples, coordinate sample shipments, and compile evaluation feedback.
  • Review raw materials, products, and packaging for current or new projects as directed by QA senior staff.
  • Participate in routine product tastings and conduct in-house testing (e.g., brix, pH, acidity) under the guidance of QA senior staff.
  • Document work and maintain laboratory records.
  • Work in accordance with current procedures, follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), and maintain a clean and safe laboratory work environment.
  • Perform laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration tasks and stock the laboratory with supplies as directed by QA senior staff.
  • Request samples to be sent to third-party labs, input results into the database, and report out-of-specification data to the QA Associate Director.
  • Aid in out-of-specification product investigation as directed by QA senior staff.
  • Support Bragg Admin activities as necessary and directed by QA senior staff.
  • Aid the QA Administrative Assistant with Product Specifications, customer portals, and help update the team budget.
  • Contribute to a cohesive team environment.
  • Able to work during off-shift to accommodate off-site product verification.
  • Able to work independently on site, with remote support from QA senior staff.
Requirements

A college degree or equivalent work experience in the food industry, manufacturing industry, or laboratory setting is required. Ability to create and maintain Excel files, Word docs, etc. Familiarity working with cloud systems (Sharepoint, Dropbox, etc.) is desired.

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to work well in teams, good organizational skills, and a strong work ethic are preferred. Ability to work independently and to be a self-starter is also desired.

Physical Requirements

The ability to lift 25 lbs is required.
