Human Resources Director

Our client, a nonprofit organization, is seeking a seasoned HR Manager to support their HR team in Alexandria, VA.
Job Details:
- Job Type: Contract to Hire
- Length: 4 Month Contract to Hire
- Rate/Salary: $39/hour
- Background Check: Required
Candidate Profile and Qualifications:
- Experience: 4-5 years of experience as an HR Manager, Employee Relations, Recruitment, Performance Management, and Employee Engagement, preferably in an association or nonprofit
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Paycom, HRIS
- Soft Skills: Professional, Tenured, Communicative
- Education: Bachelor's Degree Required, SHRM-CP, SCP, or PHR very highly preferred
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the Human Resources team to design and implement HR policies and practices aligned with organizational goals.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding of new hires.
- Oversee employee relations, ensuring compliance with employment-related laws and regulations.
- Administer compensation, benefits, and leave programs for all employees.
- Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
- Support the Vice President of HR & Operations in strategic planning, budgeting, and departmental goal setting.
- Foster a positive employee experience throughout the entire employee lifecycle, from hiring to offboarding.
- Ensure accurate and timely data management in HRIS/HCM systems, with a focus on Paycor or similar platforms.
- Guide staff learning and development initiatives, including performance reviews and development plans.
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail in managing databases and employee records.
- Collaborate with management on workforce planning and organizational development.
- Lead HR compliance efforts, staying updated on changes in employment laws and best practices.
- Track and report on HR metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
