De-escalation and Crisis Prevention Training Specialist

We are seeking a skilled De-escalation and Crisis Prevention Training Specialist to join our team at BRIA. As a specialist in this field, you will play a vital role in empowering our staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to handle crisis situations effectively.

About the Role

The De-escalation and Crisis Prevention Training Specialist will be responsible for training our staff on de-escalation and crisis prevention techniques. This includes providing instruction and support for Nonviolent Crisis Intervention programs within our facilities. You will also be required to prepare and deliver CPI training programs, including facilitating ancillary programs and presentations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver training sessions on de-escalation and crisis prevention techniques
  • Provide consultation and support to Certified Instructors
  • Facilitate CPI training programs, including ancillary programs and presentations
  • Visit facilities in person to meet with staff and Certified Instructors
  • Perform other position-related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • 2 or more years of experience in the human services field
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • CPI Instructor Certification
  • First Aid/CPR certified
  • Ability to demonstrate and perform specific physical intervention techniques
