About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for training our staff on de-escalation and crisis prevention skills, utilizing the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention program.
  • You will provide training and support to Certified Instructors, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to excel in their roles.
  • As a CPI Instructor, you will prepare and deliver comprehensive training programs, including ancillary programs and presentations, to enhance our staff's skills and knowledge.
  • Our ideal candidate will serve as a resource for our team, providing consultation and necessary materials to support their growth and development.
  • You will also visit facilities in person, meeting with staff and Certified Instructors to ensure a high level of understanding and implementation of the CPI program.
  • This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to adapt to diverse situations and environments.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the human services field, preferably with a focus on crisis prevention and intervention.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher is required, with a strong emphasis on education and training.
  • CPI Instructor Certification is essential, along with First Aid/CPR certification.
  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent physical fitness and stamina, enabling them to perform specific physical intervention techniques as needed.
