About the Role:

LAKE BEHAVIORAL HOSPITAL is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our care delivery team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient support and supervision across various age groups.

Job Summary:

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Record accurate vital signs for patients and exercise sound judgment in interactions, reporting changes to registered nurses as needed.
  • Follow established therapeutic interventions and provide valuable insights for development and revision.
  • Employ crisis-intervention techniques and utilize approved facility protocols to ensure patient safety.
  • Assist patients through discharge processes and provide essential personal hygiene support.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification; Certified Nursing Assistant certification; or degrees in social work, recreational therapy, or therapeutic disciplines are preferred.
  • One year of relevant experience, preferably with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and mental illness understanding.
