Under the supervision of the Environmental Services Director and Assistant Director, the Housekeeping staff member is tasked with ensuring cleanliness across all areas of the facility while contributing to a welcoming and hygienic environment. This role may also involve assisting with laundry duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute daily cleaning tasks as assigned
  • Maintain and polish furnishings, fixtures, and heating/cooling units in resident rooms and common areas
  • Sanitize and clean bathroom fixtures
  • Wash windows and mirrors in various areas
  • Ensure floors are clean through sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting
  • Maintain cleanliness of walls as necessary
  • Utilize appropriate cleaning solutions and manage supply inventory
  • Dispose of waste in designated containers, including hazardous materials
  • Prepare vacant rooms for new residents
  • Handle resident laundry, including sorting, washing, and returning items
  • Report maintenance needs to supervisors
  • Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in long-term care or hospitality preferred
  • Strong desire to assist others
  • Excellent customer service abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Physical requirements include lifting up to 35 pounds and moving throughout the workday
  • Successful completion of a background check
