As a Respiratory Therapist at Corewell Health, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and improving health outcomes. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Lakeland Hospital St Joseph.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients' respiratory care needs and develop effective treatment plans.
- Perform a wide range of procedures related to respiratory care, including point-of-care testing and advanced evaluation and management procedures.
- Assess the effectiveness of treatment and accurately document patient information according to department and legal standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care and facilitate smooth transitions to other services or home care.
- Provide education and training to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals on respiratory issues and care services.
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent.
- 2 years of relevant experience in pulmonary rehabilitation, respiratory care, or sleep medicine.
- Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan.
- CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- CRT-Hyperbaric Technologist certification from the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology.
- CRT-Sedation certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
- CRT-Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification from the American Heart Association.
- CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- CRT-Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
