Work Hours: 6:30 A.M. - 3:00 P.M, with opportunities for overtime and some Saturdays.

The Production Line Supervisor will oversee the activities of employees and manage product handling on a designated production line to achieve optimal efficiency while adhering to our quality and food safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise employee activities and manage product handling on the assigned production line, collaborating with line staff.
  • Receive directives from the Production Supervisor/Assistant regarding product orders to be processed.
  • Organize the line crew to effectively process incoming orders.
  • Request product and packaging materials systematically to maximize line efficiency.
  • Prioritize order processing based on shipping needs and production timelines.
  • Document all production activities for assigned lines using computer or paper forms.
  • Complete necessary Quality Assurance documentation.
  • Train and allocate tasks to daily employees.
  • Maintain open communication with the Supervisor/Assistant regarding production or personnel matters.
  • Ensure all line employees operate equipment safely and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Cross-train line employees on other lines as needed.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • A High School diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of general warehouse operations; experience in the food industry is advantageous.
  • Flexibility with work hours, including potential overtime.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs (team lifting required for heavier items).
  • Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and compliance with food safety, quality, and sanitation standards.

Skills and Abilities

  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Understanding of scale operations, weights, and measurements.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and learn quickly.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to various production lines.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Mathematical skills for basic calculations in various units of measure.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents.

The physical demands described are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of this role successfully.
