Job Title: Production Line Lead

Woodland Foods is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Line Lead to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for coordinating employee activities and product handling on an assigned production line to ensure maximum line efficiencies while maintaining our quality and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate employee activities and product handling on assigned production lines, working closely with line employees to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Receive instructions from the Production Supervisor/Assistant for product orders that need to be processed, and organize line crews to process orders effectively.
  • Order product and packaging materials in an organized manner to ensure maximum line efficiency, and prioritize order processing in relation to shipping requirements and production schedules.
  • Report all production activities for assigned lines into the computer or paper forms, and fill out required Quality Assurance forms.
  • Train and assign work for daily employees, and maintain communication with the Supervisor/Assistant on any production or staff-related issues.
  • Ensure all line employees safely operate equipment used on the line, and follow all safety procedures, including cross-training line employees on other lines as needed.
  • Maintain a clean work area, and adhere to all WF GMPs and food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must have a working knowledge of general warehouse operations, with food industry experience a plus.
  • Must be flexible with hours, with a possibility for overtime, and able to lift 55lbs (anything over 55lbs, team lift).
  • Must follow all WF GMPs and work consistently with all food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Basic computer skills, with the ability to read and write English.
  • Understand the basics of scale operations, weights, and measurements, and demonstrate good leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and learn quickly, with good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different production lines, and ability to multi-task, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural documents.
Work Environment:

This position requires working in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to dust, odors, and noise, and the use of cleaning chemicals.
