Job Summary

Xometry is seeking a highly skilled MRO Supplies Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Marketplace Operations department, you will be responsible for processing requests for proposals, preparing quotes for raw materials, and building strong vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain effective vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of MRO supplies.
  • Reconcile receiving and invoice issues to ensure accurate and efficient processing.
  • Coordinate and resolve vendor return issues with internal departments.
  • Work with freight carriers to ensure on-time delivery and expedite deliveries as needed.
  • Complete necessary reporting and analytics to inform procurement decisions.
  • Assist with internal and external orders for secondary processes, transfers, and kitting.
  • Source and quote as needed for existing items.
  • Communicate and coordinate with cross-functional departments to ensure seamless procurement processes.
  • Frequent and meaningful contact with suppliers, vendors, and accounting teams to resolve issues and concerns.
  • Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of experience quoting tooling and MRO products.
  • Previous quoting and/or purchasing experience preferred.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office suite, with an emphasis on Excel required.
  • Prophet-21 ERP experience a plus.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills, as well as solid math and follow-up skills.
  • Must be able to persuade and negotiate with suppliers.
