Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Emory Johns Creek Hospital. As a key member of our Central Sterile Processing department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in the reprocessing of surgical instruments and trays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides on-site support for the reprocessing of surgical instruments and trays to contracted facilities in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Supports daily operations of all activities related to the reprocessing of reusable medical supplies and instrumentation.
  • Communicates effectively with hospital staff and company employees to ensure seamless operations.
  • Reports broken instrumentation and adheres to IMS dress requirements and is neat and well-groomed at all times.
  • Represents IMS, self, and profession positively in all public arenas.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a Sterile Processing/Surgical Technologist program preferred.
  • Previous Sterile Processing Department experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and aptitude.
  • Ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire strongly preferred.
