Position Details

SHIFT:
FRI-SUN 12 HOUR SHIFTS / FULL-TIME / 36 HOURS

LOCATION:
EMORY JOHNS CREEK HOSPITAL

As a Computed Tomography Technologist, you will operate CT equipment, power injectors, and other medical devices to produce diagnostic scans. Your responsibilities will include:

- Delivering quality care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures.
- Preparing patients using proper sterile techniques.
- Effectively communicating patient needs and responses through verbal and written correspondence.
- Ensuring complete and accurate documentation of all patient care aspects.
- Maintaining proper operation of imaging and specialty equipment while staying updated on medical device usage.
- Taking precautions to minimize exposure to x-radiation for both patients and staff.
- Providing direct care for all procedures performed in this area.
- Assisting with patient and family education.
- Supporting or participating in research and related activities.
- Demonstrating a solid understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
- Delivering complex technical care to meet identified patient needs.
- Assisting in the planning and execution of multiple diagnostic procedures in a timely manner.
- Acting as a resource for students and junior technologists.
- Performing other related duties as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and registered with the ARRT. CPR certification is required. A minimum of two years of experience is necessary, with at least one year in CT. Advanced certification in CT is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association is required.
