Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to join our team at Pura Vida Miami. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational success of our brand, including motivating and directing team members, overseeing inventory management, labor allocation, and financial analysis, as well as providing training and mentorship to new employees and managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Motivate and Direct Team Members: Lead a team of employees to exceed customer expectations with fast and friendly service in clean surroundings.
  • Operational Management: Oversee inventory management, labor allocation, and financial analysis to optimize restaurant performance.
  • Training and Mentorship: Provide training and mentorship to new employees and managers across all restaurant stations, leveraging team collaboration.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and uphold high standards of quality in all aspects of the business.
  • Customer Service: Maintain a strong floor presence to oversee and ensure exceptional customer service, addressing customer concerns effectively and leading by example.
  • Staff Management: Direct staff while on the floor to ensure smooth operations and address any issues promptly, efficiently organizing, scheduling, and supervising team member shifts.
  • Recruitment and Talent Development: Support recruitment, selection, hiring, and talent retention initiatives at the store, recruiting and developing talented employees with an eye toward building organizational capacity and bench strength.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of management experience in the hospitality/restaurant industry.
  • Education: College education is preferred, but not required.
  • Skills: Hard-working, enthusiastic leader with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, friendly and professional demeanor with strong customer service skills, ability to multitask in a fast-paced, demanding environment, and bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is a plus.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
