Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Special Procedures Technologist to provide technical assistance to the Interventional Radiology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures, as well as excellent communication and patient care skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical assistance to the Interventional Radiology team in the performance of diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures.
  • Operate conventional, fluoroscopic, or radiology equipment to obtain images of designated body parts according to physician specifications and/or orders.
  • Assist the physician with the performance of various diagnostic and interventional procedures, including monitoring, passing instruments and catheters, observing patient response to procedure, maintaining sterile field, interpreting and evaluating diagnostic data to be utilized by the physician.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practice guidelines.
  • Deliver quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner.
  • Work effectively to maintain an environment of excellence, which is patient-focused, providing timely, compassionate, quality patient care.
  • Prepare and update patient records accurately and legibly.
Requirements:
  • Current License in good standing.
  • Appropriate specialty certifications/credentials.
  • Eighteen months of Special Procedures/Interventional experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting.
