Job Summary

Max Populi is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team in a Community-based hospital setting. As an MRI Tech, you will be responsible for performing routine and special procedure imaging, preparing patients for procedures, and assisting radiologists as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients correctly for specific examinations, observing different and special requirements for each protocol.
  • Assume responsibilities for designated areas and/or procedures, producing good technical images and reviewing completed scans for quality and completeness.
  • Assist physicians during procedures as necessary, performing quality assurance and calibrations as needed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all areas, equipment, and accessories, reporting any malfunctioning equipment to the MRI supervisor.
  • Perform routine office duties, such as answering phones, checking previous reports/films, and documenting information on patient requests.
  • Notify front desk staff upon exam completion, introducing themselves and educating each patient or family member regarding the examination ordered.
  • Be knowledgeable and skillful in providing care based on age, physical, and psychosocial stature of patient populations.
  • Attend staff meetings and in-services, performing all other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited radiography school or hospital-based program.
  • Technologist must be certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) and become ARRT MR certified within 1 year of hire date.
  • Continuing education requirements need to be upheld to meet the standards set forth by governing bodies.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required or must be completed within 90 days of hire.
  • IV certification preferred or by completion of 6-month orientation.
  • MRI safety certification level 2 required yearly.
