Position Overview:
This role will function as the Financial Literacy Program Specialist for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County, focusing on the implementation of Financial Literacy initiatives within the Soldier and Family Readiness Division.

Key Responsibilities:
This position will oversee the execution of established Financial Literacy programs aimed at supporting the Soldier and Family Readiness Division. Responsibilities include delivering educational sessions both on-site and off-site, in alignment with the strategic objectives of the Fort Drum Program Area.

Administrative Coordination:
The specialist will manage all administrative duties related to the Financial Literacy Program and will collaborate with the Fort Drum Issue Leader on promotional activities for the program.

Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (Associate's Degree with two years of relevant experience).
- Relevant experience related to the position.
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet travel requirements.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of personal finance management, investment basics, and retirement planning.
- Familiarity with community service organizations and financial resources.
- Proven ability to utilize resources effectively within the community.

Program Delivery:
- Deliver Financial Literacy programming, including topics such as credit improvement, debt elimination, and budgeting strategies.
- Provide personalized budget education and assist in creating tailored financial plans for service members and their families.
- Develop educational content for various platforms, including newsletters and digital media.

Evaluation and Improvement:
- Implement program evaluations to assess effectiveness and gather feedback from participants.
- Collaborate with the Fort Drum Issue Leader to analyze data and recommend enhancements to program offerings.

- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills relevant to the role and adapt to changes in programming priorities.
