Practical Nursing Specialist

for a position within a Primary Care Facility.

Position Overview:

Compensation:
$30.40 per hour, paid weekly, with health benefits available after a specified period.

Work Environment:
Primary Care Facility

Work Schedule:
Full-time, 10-hour shifts on weekdays
(8 AM - 7 PM with a 1-hour lunch break);
typically includes 3 weekdays plus 1 rotational weekend day (Saturday or Sunday, not both).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based healthcare that includes accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health issues, health counseling, and planning for patient care.
  • Conduct phlebotomy and specimen collection.
  • Administer vaccinations and injections (including but not limited to COVID-19, influenza, TB) and provide evidence-based counseling and education regarding vaccines to patients and their families.
  • Evaluate patients during the intake process.
  • Measure vital signs.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as EKG and Retinopathy screening.
  • Conduct point-of-care testing.
  • Facilitate patient registration and intake, assist with waiting room management, and undertake other tasks to enhance the patient experience.
  • Order necessary equipment and prepare the facility to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Contribute to our mission of guiding individuals towards improved health by fostering excellent patient-focused interactions and activities.

Qualifications:
  • Active and in good standing Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
