Job Overview

This individual will play a crucial role in collaboration with the lead superintendent and field operations manager, while reporting directly to the hiring manager regarding the comprehensive scope of the construction project.

Qualifications
  • Over 10 years of experience in managing construction projects

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
Key Responsibilities
  • The construction project leader will oversee document control and procurement management in partnership with the purchasing department, while also managing communication and cost oversight with the cost accountant.
  • Responsible for project reporting and personnel management, representing Aventura Construction Corp. throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Work closely with the assistant project manager to ensure timely task completion.
  • Engage in safety planning for the project, promoting Aventura's safety culture and leading by example on-site.
  • Comprehend the plans, specifications, and contracts associated with the project.
  • Manage risk prevention on-site by ensuring all subcontractors and third-tier subcontractors have the necessary insurances and contracts in place prior to mobilization.
  • Produce high-quality documentation and visuals for both internal and external communications that align with company standards.
  • Coordinate and facilitate weekly meetings with owners, architects, and contractors.
  • Maintain effective communication with subcontractor project managers and foremen to foster strong working relationships, minimize conflicts, and encourage participation in future Aventura projects.
  • Actively participate in monthly schedule updates to accurately reflect procurement status, shop drawing processes, project impacts, delays, and subcontractor staffing and production.
  • Assist in developing detailed schedules for critical or complex project areas.
  • Review and supervise the job cost control system.
  • Create and update monthly cost reports, including precise forecasting of cost to complete projections, and lead quarterly cost meetings.
  • Oversee the monthly requisition processes for owners and subcontractors.
  • Lead and manage the change management process effectively.
  • Guide the team to ensure the successful completion of projects.
