Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and S-corporation tax returns
  • Conduct tax research and stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations
  • Assist clients with tax planning and compliance strategies
  • Prepare financial statements and perform bookkeeping tasks as needed
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of client engagements
  • Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and provide guidance
  • Assist with IRS and state tax notices, audits, and other tax-related matters
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
  • CPA certification or progress towards obtaining CPA (preferred)
  • 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation and public accounting (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., ProSystem fx, Lacerte, UltraTax) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
