  • Lead projects to gain knowledge and understanding of estate, gift, nonprofit, and pension tax areas.
  • Conduct tax research, analyze technical tax issues, and assist with business consulting projects.
  • Apply general tax rules and concepts to provide effective tax solutions.
  • Participate in projects to identify areas of interest for niche development.
  • Develop tax research and planning skills, including problem identification, analysis, and solution proposal.
  • Communicate results effectively, both internally and externally.
  • Understand client objectives and maximize the value of our services.
  • Manage client contacts and assist in communication processes.
  • Prepare complex tax returns.
  • Supervise and train staff and interns as needed.
  • Review less complex tax returns.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant computer software applications and their efficient use.
  • Understand the economics of job performance within the Firm's operation, budget, and billing constraints.
  • Attend tax training as determined by management.
  • Participate in professional and business organizations as requested.
  • Contribute to client development and marketing efforts as needed.
  • Adhere to the Firm's quality control standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of two years public accounting experience.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and OCBOA.
  • Strong technical, research, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and other software applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
Physical Demands

The employee will regularly be required to sit, stand, reach, walk, drive, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 25 pounds.
