Civil Survey Director - Houston Area
About Us:Encompass Energy Services is a leading provider of surveying solutions for the heavy civil and commercial construction sectors.
Role Overview:This senior-level role oversees our civil survey operations in the Houston area, ensuring precision and reliability in delivering survey data to support clients' projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Team Leadership:
- Lead a high-performing team of surveyors, providing coaching and performance feedback to optimize productivity and effectiveness.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and collaboration among team members.
- Project Management:
- Oversee project planning and execution, adhering to timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate with project managers, techs, drafters, and designers to ensure project requirements are met.
- Implement best practices and innovative techniques to enhance survey efficiency and accuracy.
- Client Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients in the designated area, building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Understand client surveying needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
- Address client concerns promptly and effectively to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Financial Management:
- Manage budgetary responsibilities for survey operations, controlling costs and resources.
- Identify opportunities for revenue growth and profitability enhancement through strategic planning and business development initiatives.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Implement quality assurance measures to uphold the accuracy and reliability of survey data.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Surveying, or related field.
- Licensed surveyor preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in surveying, with a strong background in heavy civil and commercial construction projects.
- Proven track record of leadership and management in a construction environment.
- Proficiency in surveying software and equipment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
$120,000 - $180,000 per year.
