Role Overview
As a pivotal member of our dynamic Test Engineering Team, you will spearhead efforts to collaborate with the product design team, translating module specifications into detailed Production Test Plans and defining Production Test Equipment requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Your daily activities will include:

  • Holding a Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science, coupled with 15 years of practical experience in design, development, integration, and successful verification.
  • Utilizing your expertise in programming languages and technologies such as C, FPGA, C#, SOC, NAND FLASH, Flash, and Python.
  • Exhibiting substantial experience in High Assurance Architectures, product design, and lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrating strong problem-solving skills, with comfort in debugging, unit testing, emulation, and using logic analyzers.
  • Possessing excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, suitable for technical and business audiences.
  • Supporting technical proposal initiatives, including requirements analysis, verification methodologies, architectural design, and product definition.
  • Providing proof of United States Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% for domestic or international assignments.

Additional Insights
This position will contribute to a system that integrates various components, enabling secure communication requests for space-based missions. You will also play a role in transitioning traditional physical systems to a virtual framework, re-envisioning Information Assurance to support this modern mission.

Collaboration and Development
In your role, you will work closely with the design team during the Design Verification Test phase to validate products. Once Production Test Requirements are established, you will lead the initiative to create and construct custom test hardware and automation software to fulfill these requirements. The programming languages utilized for these testing applications include C# and Python.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $136,000 to $237,800 annually. At Viasat, we consider various factors for compensation, including the role's scope and your individual experience.
