Role Overview
As a key member of Viasat's dynamic Test Engineering Team, you will spearhead the testing initiatives, collaborating closely with the product design team to analyze module specifications and develop comprehensive Production Test Plans and Production Test Equipment requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Your daily activities will include:
- Leading the test team in the interpretation of module requirements.
- Creating and implementing Production Test Plans.
- Designing and developing custom test hardware and automation software using languages such as C# and Python.
- Engaging with the design team during the Design Verification Test phase to ensure product validation.
- Participating in After Market Service strategies to support product performance.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- A minimum of 15 years of practical experience in design, development, integration, and verification.
- Proficiency in C, FPGA, C#, SOC, NAND FLASH, and Python.
- Extensive experience in High Assurance Architectures and product lifecycles.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with comfort in debugging and unit testing.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, suitable for technical and business contexts.
- Experience in supporting technical proposals, including requirements analysis and architectural design.
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% as required.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is between $136,000 and $237,800 annually, depending on your experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, we offer various cash or stock incentives and a comprehensive benefits package focused on your overall health and wellness.
