PreOp/PACU Charge Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PreOp/PACU Charge Nurse to join our team at United Surgical Partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the Preop/PACU staff, preparing monthly schedules, and coordinating staff meetings. They will also communicate effectively with physicians, vendors, and representatives to ensure smooth case flow and efficient patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise Preop/PACU staff to ensure daily smooth flow of cases
- Prepare monthly schedules and coordinate staff meetings
- Communicate effectively with physicians, vendors, and representatives
- Assist with education and training of staff
- Prepare and administer annual evaluations
- Work closely with manager to hire and orient new staff members
- Revised and prepare policies related to Preop/PACU functions
- Assist with maintaining compliance for Joint Commission surveys
- Enter company data collections and observations with EDGE and MIDAS
- Enter data into Kronos time keeping program
- Assist with staff counseling as necessary
- Coordinate and assist in Performance Improvement Projects

Requirements- Current Texas Nursing License
- Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
- Minimum 2-year experience in a hospital setting
- Minimum of 2-5 years' experience in Pre-Op/PACU or ICU
- Strong PreOp/PACU experience
- Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems, and correct errors
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptiveness to change, creativity, and innovation
