PreOp/PACU Charge Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PreOp/PACU Charge Nurse to join our team at USPI Paso Del Norte Surgery Center. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of cases and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the PreOp/PACU staff to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
- Prepare and manage schedules, including preparing monthly schedules and coordinating staff meetings.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure smooth case flow.
- Assist with education and training programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
- Coordinate with vendors and representatives to ensure timely delivery of supplies and equipment.
- Work closely with the Materials and Sterile Processing Department to ensure adequate supply and instrument management.
- Prepare and administer annual evaluations and assist with staff counseling as needed.
- Contribute to Performance Improvement Projects and maintain compliance with Joint Commission standards.

- Current Texas Nursing License
- Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
- Minimum 2-year experience in a hospital setting
- Minimum of 2-5 years' experience in Pre-Op/PACU or ICU
- Strong PreOp/PACU experience and ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems, and correct errors
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to change quickly and demonstrate accountability, professionalism, and openness to change
