Job Description & Requirements

ChristianaCare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Nurse Residency Program for Medical or Surgical Track. As a Nurse Resident, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and knowledge in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Program Overview

Our Nurse Residency Program is designed to support new RNs in their transition to practice. The program includes:

  • Lecture and simulation education
  • Peer support
  • Preceptor-led clinical experiences structured to foster critical thinking, evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, effective communication, quality and safety, and professional development

Job Responsibilities

As a Nurse Resident, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality patient care in a medical or surgical setting
  • Developing and implementing individualized care plans
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes
  • Participating in ongoing education and professional development

Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you must:

  • Be a recent graduate of an accredited registered nursing program (BSN preferred)
  • Have less than 12 months of nursing experience
  • Be eligible for Delaware licensure as a Graduate Nurse/Registered Nurse or multi-state RN from a compact state
