Position: Houseperson

The Houseperson plays a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of guest corridors, housekeeping closets, service elevator landings, and other designated areas. This position involves the transportation of linens and other necessary items to guest rooms as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with guests and colleagues in a friendly and service-oriented manner, maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Foster a supportive work atmosphere by addressing conflicts calmly and professionally.
  • Adhere to attendance requirements based on the property's scheduling needs.
  • Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the designated uniform and nametag.
  • Conduct regular inspections of assigned floors at the start and end of shifts, collecting newspapers, trash, trays, and linens, while identifying areas needing immediate attention.
  • Assist with housekeeping requests and ensure timely follow-up and communication.
  • Help maintain adequate supplies of linens and other materials.
  • Be knowledgeable about proper guest room cleaning techniques to assist when necessary.
  • Manage lost and found items according to company policies.
  • Report maintenance needs promptly to the appropriate department.
  • Demonstrate initiative by anticipating the needs of guests and team members.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, reporting any safety concerns to management immediately.
  • Operate and drive shuttle services as required by the property.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of experience in housekeeping within the hospitality sector.
  • Ability to interpret various instructions in written, oral, or scheduled formats.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to interact with guests and team members.
  • Basic mathematical skills are necessary.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Team-oriented mindset is required.
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are necessary, as applicable.
