Job Title: Donor Recruitment InternAbout the Role

Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center is seeking a highly motivated and organized Donor Recruitment Intern to join our team. As a Donor Recruitment Intern, you will be responsible for recruiting and retaining donor groups to meet the needs of our patients within the community and surrounding regions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advocate for Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center's mission on campus by engaging faculty, staff, and campus administration.
  • Contribute to proper planning of staff and vehicle resources that adheres to the most engaging dates and times on campus.
  • Research and communicate with student organizations on campus and develop them into campus partnerships.
  • Express the university's core values and student organization's service requirements.
  • Capture the proper reservation process for campus events and help student organizations maneuver through until final reservations are approved.
  • Encourage campus organizations to participate in the scholarship program to aid in continuing their education.
  • Have a presence at campus blood drives to aid with donor flow, on-site recruitment, and blood donation education.
  • Inquire about speaking engagement opportunities on campus to further educate donors on process and partnership opportunities.
  • Uphold and promote the integrity of Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center's mission across all outreach.
  • Adhere to Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center's policies on EEO and Safety/Health.
Requirements
  • Actively enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university with a major in marketing, communication, public relations, or a related field. Prior work/internship experience preferred.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License and acceptable driving record. Must have reliable transportation to transport self to various donor and group sites.
  • Computer Literate: Desktop Publishing, Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Must be able to work irregular hours and days as needed, including some nights and weekends.
  • Interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize own work.
