Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the Billing, Credit, and Collections department, providing leadership, guidance, and support to team members.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue processes, improve efficiency, and reduce delinquencies.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of billing transactions, including invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliation.
  • Manage credit risk assessment and evaluation processes, establishing credit policies and procedures to minimize bad debt exposure.
  • Monitor customer accounts receivable balances, aging reports, and collection efforts, taking proactive measures to address overdue accounts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Finance, and Customer Service, to resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, and customer inquiries.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal controls related to revenue recognition and collection practices.
  • Analyze revenue data, trends, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Implement relevant KPIs reporting.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights into revenue performance, trends, and forecasts.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of experience, including 7+ years in a billing or credit function and 3+ years of experience in directing a team.
  • Utility experience is highly desirable.
