Job Title: Operational Resilience Director

Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Operational Resilience Director to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our Operational Resilience framework, ensuring the continuity of our Important Business Services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Operational Resilience strategies, policies, and frameworks to ensure business continuity.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create end-to-end process mapping and identify underlying people, technology, and vendor assets.
  • Test all Important Business Services and create Service Playbooks for each IBS on how to deliver the service in a crisis.
  • Determine qualitative and quantitative metrics to measure Firmwide resilience and establish or work with Op Res pillar partners to produce and report those metrics.
  • Support business areas in documenting Important Business Services, associate end-to-end processes, and underlying people, technology, and vendor assets.
  • Develop and implement key program components across required Operational Resilience workstreams.
  • Drive efforts around education, awareness, and adoption of the Business Resilience program across AD.
Requirements:
  • Mastery of project execution and delivery with a proven track record of successful large, complex, multi-team projects.
  • Knowledge of core competencies across the 4 Pillars of Operational Resilience.
  • Experience creating policy, procedure, and playbook documents.
  • Ability to interface with senior management and deliver concise and effective messaging.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
