Industrial Hygiene Specialist

Hillis-Carnes Capitol Services is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Industrial Hygienist to join our team. As an Industrial Hygienist, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our clients.
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including environmental investigations and monitoring, asbestos and lead abatement, and industrial hygiene field measurements. You will work closely with experienced Industrial Hygienists to develop your skills and knowledge, and will have the opportunity to pursue certifications and licenses in the field.

Key Responsibilities- Conduct industrial hygiene field measurements to verify levels of asbestos and lead in workplaces.
- Contribute to environmental investigations by conducting sampling and testing of various environmental media.
- Conduct limited asbestos surveys and train with experienced Industrial Hygienists.
- Actively engage in training and professional development to pursue certifications and licenses in the field.
- Basic understanding of the General Scientific Method and Principles of Environmental Science.
- Written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to interact with clients professionally and with confidence.
- Ability to stand, sit, reach, crawl, climb, and squat.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to operate and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) throughout the day.
- Ability to withstand high and low temperatures on-site.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
