The Clinical Engineering department presents an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Biomedical Technician 3 to join the Uhealth team.

The Biomedical Technician 3 is responsible for a range of routine activities, including the installation, upkeep, calibration, and repair of sophisticated biomedical apparatus.

Moreover, this role involves offering technical support to junior technicians and relevant subordinate personnel within the department.

Key responsibilities include maintaining precise documentation for medical equipment, overseeing services rendered by external vendors to ensure quality and compliance, and staying informed about relevant regulatory bodies and the applicable policies, codes, standards, and regulations concerning clinical equipment.

Additionally, the technician will inspect incoming equipment to ensure adherence to codes, standards, and manufacturer specifications, procure necessary parts and supplies for medical equipment servicing, and provide technical mentorship and training to fellow employees in the department.

This position serves as a resource for engineering and clinical staff regarding appropriate procedures for the operation and maintenance of clinical equipment.

Utilization of office automation hardware and software, along with diagnostic service software, is essential. The technician will also update the medical equipment technical library as new versions become available and adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures to safeguard University assets.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in a relevant field
Minimum of 4 years of pertinent experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes:
• Proficiency in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize tasks under pressure while meeting deadlines.
• Capability to process and manage confidential information with discretion.
• Willingness to work evenings, nights, and weekends as required.
• Commitment to the University's core values.
• Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively.
