Mental Health Practitioner

The Mental Health Technician role is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative treatment team. You will provide a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for psychiatric patients while assisting with basic patient care and recovery needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the unit with patient customer service and clinic management assistance
- Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and front office staff to ensure comprehensive health care outcomes
- Perform various functions within the clinic setting requiring specialized knowledge and integration of available standards, resources, and data
- Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting patient autonomy, dignity, and health
- Assist with maintaining a safe environment by observing patient behavior, conducting patient room searches, and reporting unsafe conditions
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is preferred
- Must be eligible for a Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor and obtain within 90 days of placement
- Must obtain a Nursing Assistant Registered or CNA prior to start date
- BLS certification
- Peer MHT: Self-identify as a consumer who has received mental health services and demonstrate recovery experience
- Minimum one year of direct patient care experience is preferred
