About the Role

The Retail Assistant Store Manager at Vuori, Inc. plays a crucial role in leading the retail sales team to deliver exceptional customer experiences. This position requires a strong leader who can forge connections with customers, communicate the brand's values, and maintain high standards in retail sales and customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Experience
    • Work with the sales team to ensure each customer receives the best possible experience.
    • Take ownership of the sales floor and sales team to prioritize customer experience.
    • Prepare the fitting rooms, find sizes, and provide honest knowledgeable feedback to customers regarding merchandise style and fit.
    • Forge lasting relationships with customers by engaging with them about product details, new product, and replenishment, and inviting them to upcoming events.
    • Be knowledgeable on what's new and what's selling well and share with both the customer and team.
  • Business Operations
    • Lead the team on day-to-day operations of the store when the Store Manager is not present.
    • Motivate the sales team and achieve sales goals in a team-based commission environment.
    • Seek new product knowledge in the broader fashion landscape and active-wear specifically to serve as an expert for the customer.
    • Lead the team in completing projects while keeping the focus on customer experience.
    • Communicate inventory needs to support business goals.
  • Leadership and Ownership
    • Assist the Store Inventory Lead in processing all shipments of product and inventory management.
    • Work with the Retail Store Manager on daily maintenance, sales strategy, community, and team management to ensure the business runs smoothly and successfully.
    • Lead the team in daily maintenance of the store, including restocking product, maintaining visual merchandising, and cleaning.
    • Utilize utmost responsibility, attention to protocol, and safety standards in closing/opening the store daily.
    • Encourage employees to give 100%, adhere to punctuality, and role responsibilities at all times.
  • Operations and Logistics
    • Complete weekly manual restock and send report to inventory management.
    • Complete weekly cycle counts.
    • Assist in processing weekly shipments.
    • Ensure all store supplies are stocked and communicate needs on a monthly basis.
    • Process all online returns and defective products as needed and ship to the warehouse.
    • Ensure all restock and destock is handled on a daily basis.
    • Assist in keeping the backroom clean and bins organized.
    • Manage the Aloha displays; refreshed and restocked weekly.
    • Manage the mannequin refresh and checking one-offs.
    • Ensure all merchandising standards are happening on the floor.
    Requirements
    • Available morning and/or evening, work 8-hour shifts, 5 days/week, available at least 1 weekend day.
    • Must be a leader in punctuality and attendance, adhering to scheduled shifts.
    • Ability to develop relationships with customers and colleagues.
    • A customer service expert, creates experiences, and develops relationships with customers, embraces the social aspect of sales, and positively and proactively handles customer concerns.
    • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes.
    • Strong organizational skills and follow-through skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
    • Eager to develop new skills and responsive to feedback.
