Job Title: Healthcare Specialist - Patient Advocate

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Healthcare Specialist to join our patient advocacy team at VCU Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and support throughout their hospital stay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate patient care and services to ensure seamless delivery
  • Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Identify and address patient concerns and issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and activities
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient-centered care

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible/compact state
  • 12-24 months RN experience
  • Academic health care experience; experience with similar patient population in either an acute care setting or as applicable to area of practice
