Job SummaryAs a Private Duty Nurse with Aveanna Healthcare, you will provide one-on-one care to patients in their homes, assisting with transitioning from the hospital and providing continuous care to remain at home with their loved ones. Our nurses make a positive and lasting impact on their patients' lives by providing personalized care ranging from 8 to 16-hour shifts.
Responsibilities- Implement physicians' prescribed plans of care
- Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care
- Administer prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies
- Document care provided in our system of record
- Teach and train family members on health promotion and disease prevention
- Communicate with physicians, clients, family members, and staff on client problems, concerns, and changes in client condition
