About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team at St. Joseph Medical Center. This role will be responsible for providing high-quality medical imaging services to patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain various medical imaging equipment, including x-ray machines and catheters
  • Assist physicians during complex angiographic procedures and provide safe and effective care to patients undergoing invasive or non-invasive special procedures
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to adult and geriatric patients in the EP lab
  • Under direction, assume responsibility for patient specimen testing, quality control, quality improvement, and equipment maintenance
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited or registered school of Radiology Technology or CCC Certification (RCIS)
  • Must be a Registered A.R.R.T. or RCIS
  • Certified by the Texas Department of Health
  • Must be technically oriented in all invasive and interventional procedures
  • Certification per unit specific competency (i.e. BLS, CPI, etc.)
  • Previous experience in a hospital environment is preferred, but not required
