Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at Beaumont Urgent Care. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient service and greet patients in a polite and professional manner
  • Analyze health insurance benefits and verify eligibility to ensure accurate billing and collection processes
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area, adhering to established policies and procedures
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry and document management
  • Determine and collect each patient's financial responsibility, ensuring accurate and timely billing
  • Assist the practice manager and other staff as needed, providing overall support for physicians and office operations
  • Document Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) and maintain confidentiality of patient information
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in a medical office or emergency room setting preferred
  • Ability to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays, with flexibility to adapt to changing needs
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with insurance eligibility and co-pay determination a plus
