Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee quality initiatives and product development milestones to support product design, critical features, and reliability assessments for product development teams.
  • Facilitate quality department operations to ensure design specifications are communicated effectively and that suitable inspection, measurement, product, process, testing controls, and procedures are established.
  • Accountable for the formulation and oversight of the Quality Plan for products in development, providing necessary support and analysis for the qualification and compliance of new products.
  • Deliver method and design impact assessments to manufacturing engineering and production management based on process capability studies aimed at continuous improvement. Assist in the creation and modification of processes with significant implications for product, process, and/or equipment.
  • Support measurement system analysis and the development of production testing systems to gather, analyze, and report measurements for ongoing enhancements.
  • Engage in the analysis and reporting of warranty returns, offering insights regarding their impact on current production and new product development.
  • Assist in the creation of standard operating procedures for essential job functions and processes as part of this role.
  • Prepare and present professional reports, project updates, and project management presentations to upper management.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience, is required.
  • Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), process capability, and statistical process control (SPC) is highly preferred.
  • Certification as a Quality or Reliability Engineer from ASQ (or equivalent) and/or PMP certification is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is essential for this position.
  • Formal or informal training in problem-solving methodologies (such as six-sigma, Red-X, 8D) is preferred.
  • This role requires flexibility to commute to and work at various company locations.
  • Willingness to travel 10-20%, including some international travel, is necessary.
