Job Summary

We are seeking an Electrician Helper/Apprentice to join our team at SafeTouch Security. The successful candidate will be enrolled in an apprenticeship program and learn the trade under skilled electricians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the installation of electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, outlets, circuit breakers, and panels.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of existing electrical systems.
  • Assist in the installation and maintenance of specialized electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, and motors.
  • Assist in the troubleshooting and repair of electrical malfunctions to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Stay up-to-date with current safety regulations and electrical standards.
  • Learn to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
  • Learn how to use electrical tools and testing devices (e.g., voltmeters, ammeters, oscilloscopes).
  • Communicate with clients, other tradespeople and team members as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on each job.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Enrollment in an electrician apprenticeship program or previous experience as an Electrician Helper preferred.
  • Ability to learn how to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
  • Ability to learn how to use electrical tools and testing devices (e.g., voltmeters, ammeters, oscilloscopes).
  • Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to pass drug screening and background requirements.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance-approved driving record. Maintain less than 3 points on fleet driving policy.
Working Conditions
  • Ability to work in various environments, including indoors, outdoors, and at heights.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call hours as needed.
  • Travel to different job sites as required.
