Job Summary

Alpha Facility Services is seeking a skilled Construction Technician 2 to join our team. This role involves assisting in the execution of construction tasks, including framing, finishing, and site preparation, with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in various phases of construction, including excavation, concrete pouring, and installation of structures.
  • Operate a wider range of construction equipment and tools, such as forklifts, excavators, and other machinery, in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Oversee the inventory, storage, and distribution of construction materials, ensuring they are used efficiently and effectively.
  • Assist in coordinating deliveries and logistics of materials to job sites as needed.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, to support specialized tasks and projects.
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues that may arise during the construction process.
  • Ensure that construction activities comply with project specifications, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
  • Participate in safety meetings and training sessions and assist in maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, material usage, and project progress.
  • Assist in completing necessary paperwork and reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to Construction Technician 1 staff and other junior team members.
  • Share knowledge and skills to help foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a construction-related role, with a demonstrated understanding of construction practices and techniques.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and effectively.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials (up to 75 lbs.)
  • OSHA training is a plus.
Work Environment

The Construction Technician 2 will primarily work on construction sites, which may involve exposure to outdoor elements, noise, and varying work conditions.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be always worn.
